What "Verified" Means

Not every listing is verified

Verification is optional. A seller chooses whether to ask for it, and a person at BuyJet reviews the documents before the badge is granted — it is never automatic, and it cannot be bought. Most listings will not carry the badge, and that on its own says nothing bad about a seller or an aircraft: it means only that we have not checked who is entitled to sell it. Treat the badge as a positive signal where it appears, not as a warning where it doesn't.

What we check

When you see the Verified badge on a listing, it means our team has reviewed documents showing that the person or company behind the listing is the aircraft's registered owner, or holds written authority from the owner to offer it for sale — for example, a registration certificate matched to the seller, or a signed sales mandate.

What we don't check

The badge is about who is allowed to sell — not about the aircraft itself. Verification is not:

• a title search or lien/encumbrance check,
• a review of maintenance records or logbooks,
• an airworthiness or condition assessment,
• a valuation or price opinion,
• a guarantee that the sale will complete, or that the seller's authority hasn't changed since we checked.

What you should still do as a buyer

Treat every purchase like the serious transaction it is: commission a pre-purchase inspection, order a title and lien search, review the full records, and use an independent escrow service for funds. The fine print
