What to know
The PITTS SPECIAL has a well-documented service history and an active owner community. Values hold when logs are complete and avionics are current. Watch for airframe corrosion on older examples and confirm all ADs are complied with.
Buying checklist
Insist on a pre-buy inspection by a type-experienced shop, verify engine and prop times against the logbooks, and confirm the registry status and right-to-sell before wiring any funds through a licensed escrow agent.
