It is not the classic V-tail Bonanza (Model 35); the G36 has a conventional empennage, all-aluminum construction, and Garmin G1000 glass avionics as standard equipment. Its mission is capable, complex-airplane IFR cross-country travel with real useful load for passengers and bags — the G36 is consistently one of the strongest load haulers in the piston-single class. Common gotchas
The magnesium ruddervator-skin corrosion issue people associate with "the Bonanza" is a V-tail (Model 35) concern — the G36's conventional aluminum tail doesn't have it, but it's worth knowing if you're cross-shopping older Bonanzas alongside a G36. What the G36 does carry is real complex-airplane maintenance load: gear rigging and actuator wear, prop governor and overhaul cycles, and fuel-system components (selector valves, bladders on some years) that show up on Bonanza ADs periodically.
